Thank you for supporting our 2008 Down East Walk to Defeat ALS, Greenville, October 4, 2008!

The Down East ALS Support Group serves persons with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease), their families, and caregivers. We are one of twelve ALS Support Groups in North Carolina belonging to The ALS Association - Jim "Catfish" Hunter Chapter. Our members come from Goldsboro, Rocky Mount, Gates County, Morehead City, Greenville, and all points in between.

We meet on the third Sunday of odd-numbered months
.  Programs consist of guest speakers, information sharing, and exchange of ideas.  We co-sponsor the annual Down East Walk to Defeat ALS in the fall.  We also provide a lending closet (e.g. lift chair, wheelchairs, walkers, etc.), courtesy of Stalls Medical Supplies.  Membership is free and open to all.
