The Down East ALS Support Group serves persons with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease), their families, and caregivers. Our members come from Goldsboro, Rocky Mount, Gates County, Beaufort, Greenville, and all points in between.
We meet on the third Sunday of odd-numbered months. Programs consist of guest speakers, information sharing, and exchange of ideas. We co-sponsor the annual Down East Walk to Defeat ALSin the spring. We also provide a lending closet (e.g. lift chair, wheelchairs, walkers, etc.), courtesy ofStalls Medical Supplies. Membership is free and open to all.
